The Legion of Net.Hippies was one of the predecessors to the modern LNH. Created by Arthur Spitzer, they first appeared in JONG #4.
They were active in the 1960s, as well as the early 1970s. Super Apathy Lad and Procrastination Boy were once members of this team, but they were put into suspended animation when Nixon was elected. Nudist Man was also a member (and doesn't seem to have aged in relation to them, so whatever). They were once lead by Anti-Christ Lad, until Self-Righteous Preacher joined and exorcised him.
They've been treated various ways over the years, by different writers with different opinions on and different levels of understanding of the Real Life hippie movement.
